Yougendy Mauricette holds the #1 time in the U.S. for hurdles

Yougendy Mauricette, an upcoming senior at Sussex Technical High School (Georgetown, DE), competed at the New Balance Track National Championships with his summer team, winning the national championship in the 400m hurdles with a time of 51.31. He currently holds the #1 time in the U.S. for this event.

Further story background: Yougendy — in late spring of this year – ran as a member of the Delaware All-State boys track team and was named to the Delaware All-State boys track team in the 110 and 300-meter hurdles, as well as being named the All-state boys track team “Athlete of the Year.”
