It is that time again, where all good doer’s roll up their sleeves and donate a pint of blood for our Fall Blood Drive. On Friday, Dec 15th, Health Professions will assist the Delmarva Blood Bank all day in the gym. You will be offered the chance to save three lives by giving a pint that is so desperately needed. You must be 17 years of age on Dec 15th and weigh at least 110 pounds. A Health Professions student will come to the Senior and Junior technical areas to sign those interested in giving into a time slot that works best. If you are an athlete – please check with your coach before signing up to make sure you can donate so no conflict occurs with practice or games. Donating takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Be sure that you know which class you can get out of before signing up to donate. If you have a time slot that occurs during lunch – you must eat beforehand. Everyone should eat a good breakfast on Dec 15th. A few days before donating, eat foods that are rich in iron which included but is not limited to leafy greens, peanut butter, and red meats.

STHS Staff, if you are interested in donating, please use the link provided in an email sent and choose a time that best meets your planning period needs or a time slot that is offered first thing in the morning.

Thank you for being brave and doing your part to save three lives.
