Clubs and Organizations

Sussex Technical High School has a vibrant student activities scene, centered around more than 25 different clubs and organizations - some extra-curricular and some co-curricular, tied to academic or technical subjects.

Bella Voce Chorus - Sarah Rose, advisor.

Bowling Club - Chris Aiken, advisor. Students learn to throw strikes and spares while having fun at Millsboro Lanes.

BPA - Business Professionals of America - Frank Makray, Andy Feightner, Sabrina Neal, advisors. Meets 2-3 times per week. Focuses on leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills.

Communication Club - Gary Conaway, advisor. Meeting times vary. Students livestream Sussex Tech sporting events.

Sussex Tech Drama - Anthony Natoli, advisor. Sussex Tech Drama auditions, rehearses, and performs a full play, winter musical, and spring cabaret each year. All students are welcomed and encouraged to audition, participate, and attend performances.

Ducks Unlimited - Anthony Carmen, advisor. Meeting times vary. Students learn about wetlands and waterfowl conservation, engaging in fundraising efforts to support national DU programs.

Educators Rising - Beth Bendistis and Debbie Long, advisors. Students compete in events relevant to education, and in community service events.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes - Chris Aiken, advisor. Meets Wednesdays, 8:10 - 8:25.

FFA - Future Farmers of America - G.L. Jefferson, advisor. Meets monthly. Students learn about agricultural education that prepares them for leadership, personal growth, and career success.

Gentlemen's Society - Jacque Bowe, advisor. The Gentlemen's Society guards young males from socioeconomic and educational boundaries and in return empowers them with resourceful information to become authors of their own life story.

Ham Radio Club - Anthony Carmen, advisor. Meeting times vary. Students learn information and skills necessary to earn the FCC amateur radio license.

HOSA - Future Health Professionals - Nancy Massaro, advisor

Multiplying Good - Margie Booth and Nancy Massaro, advisors. Empowers young people to think big, choose a public service passion, and engage their school in the broader community.

Key Club - Sherri Smith, advisor. Meets monthly. Students provide service, build character, and develop leadership skills.

Math League - Dennis Redington, advisor. Meets monthly.

Mock Trial - Steve Rust, advisor. Students will learn how to be an active participant in the criminal justice field.

National Honor Society / National Technical Honor Society - Jean Johnson and Nancy Massaro, advisors. Meets monthly. Students uphold good standing in scholarship, citizenship, and community awareness. Must maintain a 93% average.

Science Olympiad - Dennis Redington and Mischa Suchanec, advisors. Meets online. Students compete in small groups covering 25 different science topics.

SkillsUSA - Sherri Smith, advisor.

Spanish Honor Society - Sra. Calandra, advisor. Meets monthly. Students provide voluntary service that directly benefits Latinos in our community. Eligiblity requirements.
