Dr. Patricia Oliphant selected as Speaker at Sussex Tech’s Graduation

Patricia S. Oliphant is a native Sussex Countian who has several decades of experience in education. Currently she holds the position of Director of Curriculum and Human Resources with Sussex Vocational Technical School District. Previously, she served as the Director of Sussex Academy, Principal of Woodbridge High School, and Director of Curriculum for the Indian River School District. Dr. Oliphant began her educational career as an English teacher. Later, she moved into administration where she worked on program development and supervision. In addition, she taught education courses for the University of Delaware and Wilmington University.

Dr. Oliphant holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree from Salisbury University. She holds a Doctorate from the University of Maryland, College Park.

She and her husband, Ron, live in Lewes. They have two children and four grandchildren. Two of Dr. Oliphant’s grandchildren are proud graduates of Sussex Tech.
