Criminal Justice DV awareness drive

Criminal Justice DV awareness drive

Sussex Tech Criminal Justice would like to thank all those who donated to their Domestic Violence Awareness drive. 241 items in total were collected at Sussex Tech that will be used with People’s Place SAFE (Shelter, Advocacy, Freedom & Empowerment) program as well as Abriendo Puertas (Opening Doors) program. The SAFE program provides an environment of safety, shelter, community, and support for victims of domestic violence and their children in domestic violence situations in both Kent and Sussex County. Abriendo Puertas is People’s Place domestic violence program for Spanish-speaking victims that operates a shelter and offers advocacy to victims in the community. Sussex County Probation and Parole also collected items, making for a large donation that will change many lives.
